The Fassler Beach Lofts are located two blocks from the beach and two blocks from the end of Interstate 45, in sunny Galveston Island, Texas.
We have a wonderful one bedroom with a fully equipped kitchen, large bathroom with huge tub and shower, dinning area and spacious living area. The loft has lots of windows to let in the soft sea breeze (six in the bedroom alone), features the warm feel of solid antique oak floors and art deco architectural details . The building was completely renovated three years ago, the character and charm of the 1920’s Art Deco Building was preserved, we added the convenience of new plumbing amd fixtures, electrical and central air and heat. Hurricane Ike struck the first floor, it is under restoration.

This property is two blocks from the beach on Broadway Street. Broadway Street is the main street in Galveston, the street has three lanes going each way and is tree lined. There are huge palm trees lining the street in front of the Fassler Building. I bought this building a few years ago; at one time it was the Boulevard drug store and soda fountain. When I bought the building, everything in the soda fountain was at it appeared (add in lots of dust) in 1967, down to dirty glasses in the soda fountain sink. The Soda Fountain closed in 1967. I painstakingly renovated this property, it is beautiful. The downstairs housed my law office, however, Hurricane Ike relocated my office.
The one bedroom loft apartment is available for your vacation rental. The loft features oak hardwood floors, Persian carpets, antique subway tiles, art deco architectural details, and a full kitchen with everything you need to make a gourmet dinner. There are separate dining and sitting areas. The loft has huge windows to let in the gulf breeze. The bedroom has a queen size four-poster bed with a feather-bed mattress for extra comfort. The bed and bath linens are wonderfully soft and luxurious.
We live in beautiful Galveston, Texas. The Fassler building is named after my Grandmother, Leona. She was a strong, simple and beautiful woman. Some of her furniture from her Missouri farm is in the loft for your enjoyment. I hope you enjoy your stay!
Located in the Historical East-End District of Galveston Island. It is two blocks from "The Bishops Palace, Scared Heart Catholic Church and Stewart Beach. It is four blocks from U.T.M.B. and Shirner's hospitals. Five blocks away from the Yacht Basin.
